A gourmet immersion in the heart of the world capital of gastronomy

Lyon is ranked as the world capital of gastronomy, and this tour proves it to you through taste. Lasting between 2 and 4 hours, your passengers set off to meet the artisans who make the city's culinary reputation: pork butchers, cheesemakers, chocolatiers, winemakers... Each one shares their craft, their product, and their story.

This is not a simple food tour. It is a cultural walk punctuated by 2 to 5 tasting breaks, alternating between seated stops (tables, restroom access, and air conditioning) and standing-up making workshops. Our Lyon guides meet groups directly on the docks (Claude Bernard or Fillon) or from the coach parking lots on Quai Romain Rolland, without logistical time waste, and adapt the pace to your schedule constraints.

Example of a visit schedule

📍 DEPARTURE: Pick-up from the Rhône docks.
Our guides welcome groups directly at the foot of the boat. Introduction to Lyon and the program in a few minutes, then departure on foot for the first stop.

🧀 STEP 1: Meeting with a master cheesemaker
Discovery of the region's iconic cheeses: Saint-Félicien, Rigotte de Condrieu, and Ardèche goat cheeses, paired with a glass of white wine. The cheesemonger talks about the aging process, the producers, and their philosophy. Guided tasting.

🥩 STEP 2: At the Lyon pork butcher's shop
Rosette de Lyon, jésus, grattons, saucisson à cuire... Lyon cured meats are an institution. Our artisan offers you a selection of his best products served with a glass of Côtes du Rhône.

🍫 STEP 3: Chocolatier / Lyon sweets
Lyon's specialties include Lyon cushions, quenelles, and pink pralines. Discover the expertise of a must-visit Lyon institution, complete with a tasting of its creations.

🍬 STEP 4: Praline pastry
The star of Lyon's desserts will be presented to you, and you will enjoy a praline tart or brioche with a hot or cold drink depending on the season, comfortably seated in an air-conditioned tea room.

📍 RETURN: Return transfer to the boat
The group is brought back to its starting point with a built-in safety margin before re-embarkation time.
